Two weeks after our first visit, we returned to Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park for another hike - this time the steep Flora Lake trail. After hiking up through a lichen-filled forest and crossing a number of creeks, we came out onto the open mountainside, with stunning views of Chilliwack Lake and the surrounding Canadian and American Cascades. We hit snow after climbing about 1000m up from the trail head. While we were up there clouds were swirling around below and above us, sometimes flowing up the mountain side right over us so we could only see for a few hundred meters.
