On the farm

Beloved Pepper! This pony is as old as I am and looking just as spry. We first got her when I was 4 years old, and now she is back at the farm.
We recently had a wonderful visit to the farm and family in Creston. It was great to see everyone, 4 and 2-legged folks, rooted, winged, you name it... It was great to soak up the farm lifestyle for a few days. It always feels like too short a time, but we tried to enjoy it to the fullest.

Delicious morels from our yard and property.
A most handsome homegrown rooster.
Horses need a lot of food, and I'm here to help!
Roosters crowing is an all-day sound in the barnyard. They've always got something to prove it seems.
Pepper is still getting rid of her winter coat, even after extensive brushing.
Mare in the mist...
Lily here is a 3rd generation resident of our farm. She is the sweetest, most affectionate horse you could walk up to.
Calypso (also known as Fairyslipper) orchids in the nearby forest. "Calypso", meaning "concealment",  is also the name of a beautiful nymph in Homer's Odyssey.
