Drawings

During our recent trip to the Washington coast, Robin and I walked miles of beaches and dune and forest trails. One day we came across the washed up carcass of a sea lion. As we retraced our steps later, we saw a coyote at the carcass. It did not run away, and looked us over as we walked past it along the beach. It was exhilarating to get such a good long look at the beautiful creature.

On my walk to work the other day, I saw a phalanx of five trumpeter swans flying south over downtown Vancouver. They are massive birds!
